North of the Narrow Neck is the Land of Desolation which paralleled the Land of Bountiful eastwardly, they both bordered the West Sea, and both extended eastwardly, being separated by the Sea South (also called Sea that Divides the Land) ancient Lake Tonawanda, current day Tonawanda State Wildlife Management Area, the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge, Oak Orchard State Wildlife Management Area, and the Bergen-Byron Swamp.
